God of War Ragnarök gets new story trailer and a special edition PS5 controller

Sony is set to release God of War Ragnarök for PlayStation 4 and 5 on November 9. The upcoming game is one of the biggest launches of the year where Kratos and his son Atreus will continue their adventure after the events of God of War (2018).
Sony has released a story trailer for God of War Ragnarök and also teased a special edition DualSense controller which will be released along with the game.

The new trailer has revealed various new characters (and Norse gods) along with other aspects of the upcoming title’s gameplay including — latest enemies, wolves chasing the sun and new flying monsters in a boss fight among others.

Some other gameplay elements shown in the trailer include Kratos’ iconic weapons. For example, the Leviathan Axe has retained its freezing power and the iconic Blades of Chaos can now also be used by Kratos to rapidly whip across parts of the environment.
The main highlight of the trailer and the most awaited part of the game were kept for the last few seconds of the video. The trailer ends with the game’s protagonist Kratos fighting the Norse God of Thunder, Thor. Take a look.

New PS5 DualSense controller God of War Ragnarök edition revealed
At the State of Play event, Sony also revealed a new God of War Ragnarök-themed PS5 DualSense controller. The new gamepad will be available in a dual-tone finish with a white and blue colour combination (which is also the theme colour of the final battle in the trailer). The new controller will have images of two wolves and the top and will come with black buttons.

PS5 users can start pre-ordering the limited edition DualSense wireless controllers from September 27 and they will be made available on November 9 (coinciding with the game’s release). Also, PS4 and PS5 users can also currently pre-order God of War Ragnarök from the PlayStation website.
